Happy Go Skateboarding Day!

by Steph McGilvra on June 21, 2013

Greetings skaters. I hope this day finds you happy that you've had the chance to get out and skate, or will get to skate later today. If you haven't had the chance, get out there!

Today we received 2 shoes from Adidas. One is a new color of a shoe Adidas has had in the line for a little bit and the other is a brand new model. The Busenitz ADV is rapidly becoming one of the go-to shoes for our skate customers and this Running White/Black colorway is a nice change up for summer.

The new addition to Adidas' line is the Gonz Pro. This is a nicely detailed shoe for the money, and seems like it will skate really well. It features suede upper with a single pice toe and side panel with heat fused (instead of stitched on) stripes to reduce weight. On the collar you will notice a small stretch panel to allow you to slip your shoes off while keeping them tied. It's all on a cup sole with Gonzales art stamped into the tread. This shoe is very light weight but doesn't compromise on the comfort.

Nike SB Dunk Low-FTC "Finally" available 6/4

by Steph McGilvra on June 03, 2013

Our Shipment of Nike SB Dunk Low Premiums, arrived this afternoon. This Dunk is Dubbed the "Finally", and it is a collaboration with FTC skate shop in California. It features art work by Del Tha Funky Homosapien and the shoe colors tie into the colors that were originally featured on the VHS release of the first video FTC put out entitled "Finally". The "Finally" video turns 20 years old this year, and FTC wanted to commemorate it's anniversary.

The Dunk Colorway is Midnight navy suede with a pebbled Team Red Swoosh. The Lighter Blue leather on the side panels and toe is pebbled. An light creamy white leather encircles the collar underneath the suede heel tab and top of the red swoosh. The heel tabs have 2 different embroidered images. The midsole is white and finished off by a red outsole with a light blue center EVA section. The insoles feature art from Del Tha Funky Homosapien that ties into the heel embroidery and art that was originally on the VHS box of "Finally".

Restock of a fan favorite

by Steph McGilvra on May 20, 2013

Recently, Nike decided to move a number of shoes they had held over for promo into stock for dealers to buy. We aren't sure why they kept what they did for so long, but when given the opportunity to get something that people really like, we took it. There were not many styles/colors that had multiple sizes available. Many things were singles sizes or a couple of sizes on the opposite sides of the spectrum. We were however able to get a size run of the Stefan Janoski Mid Premium Chestnut "Wingtip". This shoe features a very supple leather with wingtip treatments that make it look more like a dress shoe. This was the first wingtip that Nike made from the Janoski Mid, and it is still the best in our opinion due to the leather quality and finishing. If you weren't able to get your hands on these the first time around, now is your chance.

Spring is here!

by Steph McGilvra on May 16, 2013

We have been getting a bunch of new gear in lately. Lots of skate decks, Longboard decks, trucks, bearings and other goodies. This week we have recieved new decks from Deathwish and Baker, as well as the Deathwish Video and even a pretty cool drink coozy.

Restock of Bones wheels, bushings, bearings, and re-issue Powell-Peralta decks also arrived and a few sets of These(TM) Wheels.

Rayne longboards got us some new product this past week, including the new Patrick Switzer pro model! The quality of these decks is unmistakable and the sublimated graphics look fantastic. Along with the decks came some more Vicious grip and some of their new risers. The risers are made of bamboo scraps from the manufacturing process of their decks. Rayne takes the scraps, cuts them to size, drills them and sands to them to finish them. It's a great use of something that was just getting discarded! Not shown in the picture is a few sets of new Rayne freeride wheels.

This week we also received some "Ostrich" dunk mids from Nike. Originally we did not prebook these, but we had a few requests for them so we decided to get a small size run.

Last by not least, we have gotten a special restock of Nike shoes from the past. I will be making a specific post about these....but I'll give you a hint: Wingtips.

Koston 2 IT Quick Strike "Swingtip"

by Steph McGilvra on May 06, 2013

It's no secret that Eric Koston enjoys a few rounds of Golf now and again. So, it was only a matter of time before Nike indulged his passion by giving him a functional twist on his second pro model. Meet the Koston 2 IT. This shoe shares the same upper stylings of his second pro model, but is made of a synthetic leather that is water resistant, to handle dew on the grass. It also has the same Lunarlon insole, but boasts an outsole specifically for hitting the golf course instead of the skate park. These are much more comfortable than a standard golf shoe, and bring more of a skate fashion to the game. For all of you that are golf enthusiasts like Koston, these Quick Strikes are on the floor and on sale today.

May Nike SB Releases

by Steph McGilvra on April 30, 2013

We have received our May Nike SB shoes! First up is one that you all have been waiting for and calling us for. The Floral Digi-Camo Janoski. We are sad to say however that we only ordered a very limited amount of these. We will release them tomorrow, May 1st when we open at 11AM. The price will be $100.00. We did everything we could to try and add more to our order but were only able to add two pair of 13's. Those 13's will show up later on, (we are hoping next week) When we saw these to order them last year, the pic was a computer rendering and quite honestly looked HORRIBLE. That being said, these look absolutely GREAT!

The other shoe we have for May is a very cool Dunk High Pro in Dark Teal/Black-Wolf Grey. These have some great leather, Nubuck, and nylon material details and a very warm, rich feel to them. In my opinion one of the nicest Dunk High's in some time.

Attention!! Abnormal Hours!!!

by Steph McGilvra on April 26, 2013

We will be closed on Saturday April 27th through Monday April 29th. We will resume normal hours of operation on Tuesday April 30th at 11am. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we do not have an alternative. Enjoy the weekend weather, and we will see you all back at the shop on Tuesday.

Concord release reminder

by Steph McGilvra on April 19, 2013

One Final reminder about the Nike SB Dunk Low Concords: We will be releasing them tomorrow Saturday April 20th. Due to the call volume we have received over the past week, we have decided to do a raffle. NO CAMPING!!! A raffle is the only way we can make things equitable and give people the best shot of getting a pair. We also like to be able to help good causes when we can, and something with a high demand like this is a perfect opportunity. So, we have decided to hold the raffle and charge a small fee for the tickets in order to donate to the Boys and Girls club of Portland. Tickets will be available at 11am, and the raffle will take place shortly there after. We are charging 3 dollars per ticket with a limit of two tickets per person.  One pair of shoes can be purchased per person. We ask that you bring cash for the raffle tickets so that we can just hand that money directly over to the Boys and Girls club.
