Sublimity Snow & Skate

 It's hard to believe have much snow we have been getting and will continue to get within the first weeks of Spring! Better late than never. The Riding on hood has been incredible! Many of the days, the temperature has been low enough that it's kept the water content of the flakes down, making for the light fluffy stuff Oregonians aren't used to. It's almost been like riding at a mountain further east. Even tracked stuff is very ridable. No complaints here. We have seen postings about places like Arizona Snow Bowl getting 40 inches in a couple of days, and other resorts that desperately need snow finally seeing some fall. Winter was late to come but it's finally here.

We felt like it was time to switch our clothing program up with a new brand and something that is a little more difficult to find.  We are very pleased with the quality, and the look of the finished product.  We finally got all of our shoes from Nike today. This month's offering includes a water resistant embossed leather Janoski and a Premium Leather Lance Mountain "Pool Service" Blazer Elite. Both shoes have unique detailing and are sure to be a great addition to your feet and your closet. 

As you can see the Janoski is a Hay/Black-White-Gum Light Brown color way. Its a lighter color than some of the more recent Janoski colors, so it's a nice change up for spring, but having the embossed and water resistant treatment means it won't mark up as easily as suede. A definite plus for living and walking in Oregon. 

The Classic Charcoal/Classic Charcoal-Golden Hops Blazer Elite is a Lance Mountain pro model. It's called the Pool Service, and the insole features a print of several pools of different shapes and sizes. The upper is a very soft premium oiled leather. And the swoosh is a tone on tone suede. The eyelits are brass in color and match the Hops colored contrast stitching. All in all easily one of the nicest blazer releases in a long time. 

 The rest of our February Nike shoe order arrived yesterday. In addition to the Black/White Kostons that arrived earlier, we received Kostons in Vintage Green/Metalic Silver.

Dunk Low Premuims in Pine Green/Back-Atom Red round out our Nike offering. This is one of the best Dunk Low Premiums in a while. The Black leather is oiled suede and the toe and side panels have a textured detail that makes them flexible and nicely detailed. 

Our shipment of Orangatang Balut wheels just arrived today. They aren't technically supposed to be for sale until February 2nd, but if you want to stop by and check them out before then, feel free. This wheel is a little bit of a departure from the types of wheels Orangatang has put out in the past. It has a new Urethane formula for longer slides and longer wear. The shape and core is designed to allow for more drifting and continuous spins. Couple that with new new urethane formula and you get a sliding machine! 

 Sorry for the late post on the January release. I totally spaced this. We did get the Dunk High Pro in Clay/Black-White.

We also have our Kostons in stock for next month already! They are black/white. They have some small changes to the outsole and tongue color treatment. They have dropped the red and added some more white. I'll try to get a picture up soon.

 Today we had the Omen Pike arrive in both Drop Through and Top Mount versions. This board has a pretty unique shape and it's make here in the Northwest! Two things we love. Check it out here, and just come on in to the shop and see in person. We think it's worthy of a christmas list or two.
